An outdoor company inspired by their surrounding mountains in Northwestern Canada. They make some of the best cold and wet weather gear around and test everything they make in the mountains for which they make their gear. We carry everything from insulated jackets to waterproof trail running shoes.

Barbour [Men’s] [Women’s]

Barbour got their start by providing oil cloth that has now been modified into waxed cotton. Since then, it has developed into a line inspired by the British countryside and they have been crafting some of the most versatile clothing on the market.

Billy Reid [Men’s]

Billy Reid reinvents and improves your favorite everyday clothing pieces through unexpected unique details. They are one of the top designers in the menswear industry for a reason. The clothing is built for the long haul. They do this by making fewer better things rather than many good things.

Birkenstock [Men’s] [Women’s]

This is a footbed company, not a shoe company. They have been selling and mastering the art of making the perfect supportive footbed for over 100 years, when they first started manufacturing them. Since then they have developed shoe styles that surround their comfortable footbed and have become a staple in everyone’s shoe repertoire.

Blundstone [Men’s] [Women’s]

It all started with a man named John Blundsone. In 1870, he started making “fit-for-purpose” footwear for anything you could possibly imagine. This company has endured through the many hardships over the last 150 years for a reason. They simply are the best all around, do anything you want boot.

Carhartt Work in Progress [Men’s] [Women’s]

Not just your normal everyday Carhartt. The line takes the heritage of the 100+ year old brand and modifies it to cater to the European market. This gives the brand a little more style, better fabrics, and superior construction while preserving the look and feel of Carhartt we all know and love.

Cat Bates [Unisex]

We often ask, why does he make it so complicated for himself? Because that’s the way Cat does it and that’s the way it should be done. He is constantly getting inspired by old sailor knots and clasping devices that he can’t stop trying to apply them to his jewelry. We like the obsession with his craft from hand-braiding many of his ropes to hand sand casting all of his pendants, clasps, and rings right here in Maine. We’ve tried carrying other jewelry brands in the past, but they have all lost to the craftsmanship of Cat Bates.

Clarks Originals

This collection was inspired by where Clarks all started. They have taken the core styles and brought them to the present day with new designs and a new direction. They have elevated the styling of back then by using premium materials and construction techniques. These styles include the wallabee, desert boot, and more. We have an assorted selection in our shoe store.

C.O.F. Studio [Men’s]

Sweden based C.O.F. (circle of friends) Studio makes premium denim products all over the world. They use their circle of friends from other countries like Japan, Italy, and Portugal to create some of the best products while also supporting their manufacturing partners.

Comme des Garçons PLAY [Men’s] [Women’s]

A Japanese fashion label founded and located in Paris, France. The term “Comme des Garcons” translates to “like boys” in english. Their collections are commonly associated with art and culture of the world and are all designed in Japan, and made all over the world. We carry their accessories, along with some fo their “Play” line.

One of the best leather sneakers money can buy. They use all italian leather and the best rubber soles on the market to handcraft true long lasting footwear. The sneakers are all handmade in Italy using some of the best construction techniques in shoe manufacturing.

Darn Tough [Men’s] [Women’s]

Their unconditional warranty for life not only helps the wearer, but it helps them improve their product. They will continue improving their manufacturing process until they feel they have made the most durable sock possible. All of their socks are still knit in their mill in Vermont and have been for over 40 years. Darn Tough offers a range of athletic, lifestyle, and hiking socks, just to name a few.

Diadora Heritage [Men’s] [Women’s]

This heritage line that Diadora put together embodies the history or the Italian tennis brand. They use premium material and construction and pull styles form the archive while creating modern ones for today’s market that still have that Diadora element.

Duckhead [Men’s]

You may have not seen or heard about this brand since the 80s, but yes, it’s making a comeback and their clothing is the best it has ever been. Now, they draw some inspiration from their southern heritage and create staples for everyday wear. They’re more well known for making some of the best chinos on the market, but they make some other cool casual wear as well.

Far Afield [Men’s]

Far Afield is taking a step into sustainable materials. They source products from people who are producing them ethically all over the world. Their colors and silhouettes are inspired by their world travels, but they bring their vision through with British Design.

Filson [Men’s]

One of the largest menswear companies in the west, Filson got their start outfitting people traveling up to Alaska during the gold rush. They dress people for taking on all the elements of the outdoors. This classic American brand is the epitome of the outdoorsmen. From their Mackinaw Wool Cruiser to extremely durable bags, their products are made to take a beating.

Glerups [Unisex]

It all started by crafting felt slippers for family from the wool provided by a new revived run down family farm. Since the they have grown and become a staple over the course of 30 years putting their stamp on comfort in the home. They are best known for their soft and snug fit and long lasting durability.

GRP Knitwear [Men’s]

Based and made in Italy, GRP has been innovating some of the most unique casual knits from knit polos and tees to cardigans and sweaters. Their proprietary spot knit is one of the more unique fabrics on the market and has a amazing texture.

Hansen [Men’s]

In Denmark, Hansen is pushing the boundaries of everyday clothing. They have designed a blend between workwear and tailoring that gives the line a unique yet approachable style. Most of their products have a seasonless range of wear, making their clothing wearable throughout the whole year.

Harden [Unisex]

This brand is all about the celebration of color. They take some of the finest cashmere in the world from Loro Piana in Italy, and make it into something fun and unique. All of these sweaters are made in Los Angeles.

Herno had a very simple, but complex inspiration for their line, water. It strove to master this element and create one of the best raincoats on the market. They made one with craftsmanship that could only be found in Italy and have since expanded to not only more jackets, but coats as well. There’s something to say about a company that makes one thing and one thing only, in this case, outerwear.

This 4th generation family business has been making gloves foremost 100 years. They own all of their own factories, which is a rarity these days. This allows them to control all of the materials and craftsmanship. This helps them ensure a high level of quality. Their gloves are tough, warm, and styled for anything you may need them for.

The perfect knitwear piece for being on the water. With our shop right on the coast, it was important to us to provide a garment that can withstand the elements of being on the water. These wool and cotton knitwear pieces all have a windproof lining to keep the chilling ocean breeze at bay.

Kardo [Men’s]

Kardo specializes in amazing hand printed fabrics and hand embroidered details. All handmade in India, they offer shirts, shorts, and pants, sometimes in the same fabric if you want to get funky. One of the more unique brands we have here in the shop.

Le Labo [It’s fragrance, good luck!]

You will not come across another company this obsessed with fragrance. Every scent is made with many pairs of hands, whether it be the hand that picked the rose or the hand that poured the wax in a candle. They want to shock you with what they are able to create. They want to invoke an emotional response when you smell their product, and my god have they done it.

Mackage [Women’s]

Canadian based Mackage uses the finest leathers, wool, and fills to continue to push the boundaries of outerwear. They strive to keep their customers comfortable while creating and innovating new and unique styles in their collection.

Naadam [Men’s]

A relatively young company, however, they’re focused on supporting the most traditional ways to make cashmere. They cut the middleman cashmere broker out of the picture by supporting their herder friends directly while selling their premium cashmere sweaters at a lower cost.

National Athletic Goods [Men’s]

Vancouver based National Athletic Goods makes some of the most comfortable cotton wovens. They push the boundaries of normal casual wear and create unique designs with unique cotton fabrics.

Oats Cashmere [Women’s]

The cashmere used for these beautiful knitwear pieces is sourced from one of the finest cashmere goats, the Pashmina goat. Since the cashmere is so fine, Oats Cashmere has been able to create super lightweight styles that can easily transition from day to night. Their simple designs provide unparalleled luxury for the price, making them one of the best values in the cashmere market.

Peter Millar [Men’s]

Founded in 2001 by a simple cashmere sweater, Peter Millar has embodied luxury in their products ever since. The line now ranges from active sportswear for the golf course all the way to some of the most luxurious fabrics found on the market. We mostly carry their collection line, which lends itself to a more casual style while using these beautiful fabrics to its advantage.

Portuguese Flannel [Men’s]

Portugal has been one of the best producers of flannel in the world for many years. Portuguese Flannel uses exclusive fabrics made traditionally by master craftspeople in Northern Portugal to create some of the best flannel shirts in the world. They make summer weight shirts as well.

This French company knows their down. They recently were named a “living heritage company” in France for their manufacturing practices and dedication to their craft. Pyrenex goes out of their way to ensure their down is the best on the market by doing something fairly simple, cleaning it. This process is so rigorous that by the time they’re done, the down insulate has become hypoallergenic and is less likely to pick up allergens or dust mites.

Quoddy has been hand sewing shoes in Maine for decades. They use the highest quality materials and make shoes to last a lifetime. Any shoe you purchase from them can go back to the factory to get refurbished so you can wear them for the long haul.

Shoes Like Pottery [Unisex]

Shoes Like Pottery has handmade their sneakers since 1873. They use a very unique process to attach their soles to the upper, they fire them in a kiln (hence the name). This vulcanizes the rubber and brings it back to its original form. The vulcanization helps the elasticity of the rubber, and gives it a high abrasion threshold so they stand up to more wear than typical canvas shoes.

Since the beginning, in 2005, Veja has been focused on the sustainability of their product. They chose the timeless sneaker so everyone could see that these practices could supply the everyday wearer. Veja is very transparent about the products they use and why they use them. They even go as far as to telling you what the emissions are for each step of the manufacturing process. They mixed all of this philosophy with great design and have become one of the fastest growing sneaker brands in the world.

Vuarnet [Unisex]

It started with Roger Pouilloux when he invented the skilynx lens, the perfect lens for skiing on the mountains. They then got their fame from The Dude in The Big Lebowski, the 1984 summer olympics in Los Angeles, and recently James Bond in Spectre. These sunglasses have been iconic in the eyewear industry, and let’s be honest, everyone remembers having Vuarnets on the slopes back in the day. We love the nostalgia of the brand, and they keep getting better.
